Forty Years,
One Quiet Obsession

Most Things Don't Last Forty Years

Trends don't. Showrooms don't. Most names in this trade don't either. Forty years is long enough to watch entire styles arrive, peak, and quietly disappear.

We started in 1985 with a small showroom, a short catalogue, and customers who came in knowing exactly what they wanted. Marble for the floor. White for the bathroom. Done.

What kept us here was never the inventory. It was the conversation — the contractor who trusted a recommendation, the family that came back a generation later for their own home.

"You don't sell forty years of tiles. You earn forty years of trust, one project at a time."

Four Decades · Four Chapters
How a showroom became a collective
Chapter 1 · The Beginning

Where It All Started

One showroom, Rajajinagar, 1985

Overview
The first Srinath showroom opened on Dr. Rajkumar Road with a simple promise — honest material, fair counsel. No upselling, no jargon. Just people who knew tiles helping people build homes. That handshake culture is still the foundation of everything we do.
Why It Matters

Reputation compounds slower than revenue — and lasts far longer.

Chapter 2 · The Craft

From Selling to Curating

When choice became design

Overview
As Indian homes grew more ambitious, so did we. The catalogue became a curation. We stopped stocking everything and started choosing — surfaces that aged well, finishes that felt right underfoot, sanitaryware built to outlast the warranty card. The word "Collective" entered the name for a reason.
Why It Matters

Curation is the quietest form of expertise.

Chapter 3 · The People

Generations, Not Transactions

Sowmya, Srinath & a city that grew with us

Overview
Forty years means we've fitted the first homes of customers who now bring their grown children to choose tiles of their own. Architects we worked with in their early practice now run studios. Bangalore changed around us — and a great deal of it has a little of our stone in it.
Why It Matters

The best clients aren't acquired. They're inherited.

The Long View

Four Decades, Marked

'85

The First Showroom

Srinath opens on Dr. Rajkumar Road, Rajajinagar — a small floor, a short catalogue, a long memory for every customer.

'90s

Growing With Bangalore

As the city expanded, so did the range — from basic tiling to full bathroom and surface solutions for homes and builders.

'00s

From Stock to Curation

The shift from selling everything to choosing well. Premium imports, designer sanitaryware, and a point of view on quality.

'10s

The Collective Era

A new name and identity — design-led, architect-trusted, and built around relationships rather than footfall.

2025

Forty & Counting

Four decades in, still family-run, still on the same road — now serving the homes of the children we first served.

The Things We Never
Stopped Believing

Forty years teaches you what to keep. Not the trends — those come and go like seasons. What stays is simpler, and it's the same thing it was in 1985.

A good surface should outlast the fashion that chose it. A showroom should feel like counsel, not a sales floor. And a name worth forty years is one you'd hand to your children.

To everyone who walked in, came back, and sent a friend — thank you. The next forty are yours too.

  • Honest material over hype
  • Curation over inventory
  • Relationships over transactions
  • Quality that ages quietly
  • The same road, the same people
Here's to forty years of building homes —
one surface, one trust, at a time.
